It includes beautifying the face, neck, arms, or upper body (from the shoulders up) by the use of cosmetic preparations, antiseptics, tonics, lotions, or creams. Note: Fingerprints are processed through the Department of Justice (DOJ), and applications cannot be processed until an approval has been received from the DOJ. Due to the fingerprinting requirements, the typical timeframe could be up to 12 weeks to process your application.
Live Scan Process (California residents only): If you reside in California, you must use the Live Scan Service. At the Live Scan site, your fingerprints will be electronically scanned and transmitted immediately to the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for processing. Begin by following the instructions below. You must use the Board's Live Scan form, as other forms are not accepted. To request a Live Scan form, you may submit a request in writing via email to barbercosmo@dca.ca.gov.
